The Old Orchard Otters Swim Team

The Old Orchard Otters were established in 1967.  Since that time, our Otters have enjoyed the unique benefits summer swimming offers, both in and out of the pool. Old Orchard is proud of its Swim Team and celebrates over 50 years of a tradition of sportsmanship, community, and excellence.

In 2016, the Otters swam their hearts out at Cherry Bowl and won the  Cherry Bowl Championship for the 21st time in the meet’s history, which is the most wins by any team.  You can also read all about our 2016 season here: Courierpost and CherryHillSun

In 2017, as the Swim Team celebrated its Golden Anniversary, the Otters had an epic season.  Old Orchard went undefeated in divisional competition earning the Tri-County “B” Division Championship and the team placed second at the Cherry Bowl Championship.  At the 36 team Tri- County Championship, the Otters placed 4th overall capping a storybook season.

From beginner to advanced, our swim team emphasizes competitiveness, team spirit, and friendship.  Swim Team is open to OOSC members’ children from the ages 5 to 18. There is no experience is necessary to be on the swim team other than swimmers must be able to safely swim one lap of freestyle without stopping and a half of a lap of backstroke.  There are multiple competitions through-out the Summer where all  swimmers have a chance to compete. The Swim Team also enjoys many team social activities.
